Many that choose PPC over organic forget this one “70% of the links search users click on are organic.” I see it almost every day that someones chooses to put their money into PPC for immediate results instead of investing into organic.

Thanks for the input Kris.
Although I agree to a certain extent, I don’t necessarily think that it’s an “either / or” thing.
PPC has its benefits and should never be ruled out of a strategy just because it is not organic. As a matter of fact there are a lot of studies that have found CTRs to be much higher when a company has both a paid ad and an organic result at the top of a SERP.
It all comes down to what the business’ objectives and goals are. Only those thing should determine what strategies are used to drive traffic.

Absolutely, I would never rule out PPC. Simply stating that I see a many choosing PPC over organic when faced with a budget. Ideally there should be a nice split depending on your goals. A proper marriage of the two is ideal.

These stats are awesome! A lot of people fail to recognize the power of these numbers so it’s great that you pointed them out! It still amazes me that so many online experiences begin with a search engine.

This is the facts that I was looking for. I wonder is these statistics are updated. I will be speaking on an event about Internet Marketing Trends, and I need to convince the audience that SEO is still vital to online marketing success. Thanks for sharing this.
